I have yet to read the book but I purchased it after watching only Mary’s testimony at a Celebrate Recovery meeting and was sooo in love with my sister and related/connected to her testimony on such s deep level (as a female who is diagnosed with a mental illness) and was blessed by hearing about how she experienced her mother’s battle with schizophrenia. I have so much reading to catch up on but am excited to know this book is in my arsenal already! Highly recommend Mary/Mac’s testimony!Product details

I loved this book! Once I began reading it, I was unable to put it down. I finished reading the entire book in about 8 hours. If you struggle with addiction, this is a must read. This book, Mac & Mary's testimony, glorify the power of God, and His love for us all!
I get asked to endorse a lot of books! To be fair to everyone I make it a practice to not do any. I just don't have time to read them all! However, I made an exception for this book! I even wrote the introduction! This book is a true story of how God loves us and how he can heal the broken. If you think your struggle can never change, you need to read this book! If you want to read about how God still does miracles today, I encourage you to read 'Never Let Go'!

Mac and Mary Owen are among the most encouraging Christians in the Celebrate Recovery organization. Their recovery story in this book is simply amazing. Only a God who loves His creation and desires our dedication to Him would heal the wounds of poor life choices as he did for these two. Jesus IS the answer, and this book is another confirmation of that fact!!
This book reminded me of everything I know but is lost in daily life. I was reminded of my co-dependency and controlling nature. And I am reminded that God is in control, not me, and He has a perfect plan for my life. This book sums up the addict/codependent relationship. I will refer back to Mac and Mary's story when life gets in the way. Thank you for sharing your story!
I grew up in VA and went to camp with Mac as a kid, while his dad was the camp cook. I heard that he and his wife had written a book about their lives & recovery, so.....I was intrigued to read it. Well, it was hard to put down as you wonder what happened next. When it got to the part about Mary's father dying......wow.......bring out the tissues. I highly recommend this book to anyone who has been in a spot where you can't see a light at the end of the tunnel, to never let go & know that there is Victory in Jesus!
An amazing book on God's faithfulness to heal and restore in the midst of our destructive choices. I am not an avid reader, however; I couldn't put this book down and read in less than 24 hours. Several scripture verses come to mind when reading this book
Psalms 2317 "I am confident of this, I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living".
Geneses 5020, " You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives".
Jeremiah 2911 "I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, "plans to Prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future".
And my favorite verse
Isaiah 611-3,7 The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me,
because the Lord has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners,
2 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor
and the day of vengeance of our God,

Wow, God's timing is perfect. After hearing on the radio, mac owen and his wife share their testimony of broken lives with drug addiction and the new life Jesus Christ has made possible, I just had to buy this book. What a beautiful, powerful story of God's love in lives broken by addiction. He offers us hope and new life in Him. Are you in need?
